This evening I happened to glance out my back window just in time to see the sky lit up a beautiful shade of pink. Just a few minutes before the sun had set and the sky had been almost completely dark, but now as I looked out the window the whole sky was lit up and it was so beautiful!  For just a moment I felt rescued from the impending darkness of nightfall as the bright pink light lit up the sky bringing a moment of joy to my heart.

This spectacular gift only lasted for about 3 minutes and then it was gone just as suddenly as it had appeared.

A long time ago God sent another gift, the gift of his son Jesus.

Jesus is light that can rescue us from the darkness and bring joy to our heart.

I am so glad  the light of Jesus lasts more than a moment.

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his dear son. – Colossians 1:13 NLT
