Have you ever had a friend that you can pretty much predict what they will say or do because you know them so well? The more you are around someone the more you get to know them and know who they truly are. The same goes for God, the more you spend time with him the more you will get to know him and know who he truly is.
Ask yourself today… What do I know about God? Who is God?
I don’t mean just what you have heard about him but how well do you personally know him? Do you know him from spending time in the Bible and spending time with Him or do you know only what other people have told you about Him?
If you want to be really good friends with someone you gotta take the time to get to know them personally. The same goes for God, he loves you always but if you take the time to get to know Him personally He will be the best friend you ever had.
Get to know him today,
Blessings,
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13

Here you go again Terri, you sure walking with the Holy Spirit, or God has a sense of humour, firstly. Today I was telling my best friend the same thing, I said in order for us to be friends we had to talk. Therfore to get to know God, you need to talk….Also during my fasting I really wanted to be connected with God. And yes my best friend, we do this all the time. You are somehow tapping into my mind…again…

Well I do think God has a sense of humor and I love it when he does this sort of thing. Also the Bible study I am in right now got me to thinking about this. I think I want to know all I can know about him but mostly I just want to know him more. Thanks for reading and commenting 🙂

Oh, I KNOW God has a sense of humor – and I think He mostly exercises it at my expense. When I finally become aware of something sometimes, I turn to Him in consternation and ask, “Why didn’t you TELL me that before?” – and His reply is often, “I would have, but I just couldn’t stop laughing long enough.”
As far as knowing God, I love Meister Eckhart’s statement – “I don’t want to see God – I want to see myself through God’s eyes.”

Your comment made me smile big time, thinking of God laughing. Before I started my journey I remember hearing about God and thinking he was some scary serious God and I never imagined him having a sense of humor. Now I know he does have a sense of humor and I like that statement you made at the end, I want to see myself through his eyes too. Thank you for commenting it gave me lots to think about and smile about.

Great advice T , to know God is to Love Him, that is why He tells us to search for Him with all our heart and we will find Him, we need to Love 100% just as He does, He created us this way, which is in His likeness.
I would Love to spend more time with my Blogging friends, including you T but I feel I know you much better than I did a few years ago and I hope you do me too. I always feel free to share honestly my ups and downs with you and I value greatly when you do too.

I still amazed at how I have friends all over the world that I have never met in person yet feel as if I know them well. I am glad you feel free to share honestly with me, because you can and I want you to, you are my friend and I value you and what is going on in your life. You are a blessing to me and many others here on the blogs.

I am still trying to get to know God, I feel a lot more than I did a couple of years ago. I am surprised God knows me more than I do myself..But I am getting there..I am happier more now than I ever was in the past few years. Walking with God has gotten me where I am today.
