Yesterday I turned on my television and was shocked at what I saw. A tornado had ravaged through the town of Moore, Oklahoma leaving behind a trail of death and destruction. It was so hard to to look at the pictures on the television, I can’t begin to imagine how the people of that town must feel.
The hardest thing for me see was that the tornado had leveled several schools, taking with it the lives of precious children leaving their parents behind with hearts hurting and broken.
Something else I saw yesterday was that though some of the children lost their lives, there were also stories of how amazingly many children walked out of the wreckage, alive, some seemingly without even a scratch. My mixed up mind keeps wondering… is right for my heart to sing joy for the ones who are safe while at the same time it is breaking for the parents who will never hold their precious children again?
I just can’t seem to wrap my head around it all it.
Today I saw a story written by Ann Voskamp – click here to read –> A Holy Experience – When you’re wondering: How God Feels About Storms?.
Though I may never know why things happen like they do, this story reminded me of God’s overflowing heart and how he is always here with us during and after each and every storm.
Thank you for reading.
true it is a sad situation, all these storms hitting all over the world, but it Gods’ own Works, and as it has said in the Bible, storms of all kinds will come before the day of judgement, a Test of Faith for those who follow Christ and believe in His Words.

I’m so sorry T to hear of the suffering and heartache that you are experiencing in America and yes it is the same in other Countries too and many are asking why! although the Scriptures clearly give us the answers but of course some do not read them or if they do it is without True understanding and so sadly they blame God, even though some of them also claim He does not exist???.
Thank you T for sharing the link, it was a beautiful message and very True, God grieves to see us suffer but He does not afflict us to teach us or punish us, we reap what we sow good and bad.
Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
Our young Children go to be with the Lord until they are of an age of understanding good from evil but this means about Salvation not just about being naughty. I was told by a Church although their Teaching was Cultish, that my 7 babies had gone to hell, thankfully God had given me the Scripture before to confirm they were in error but they didn’t want to see it, they said it was because I was not a Christian at the time they were conceived but God does not punish the Children for the sins of their Parents, when they are of an age to be able to understand God’s Truth they suffer for the wrong they do not their Parents sin. They also told me God does evil to bring good from it but the Bible tells us this is slander.
We need to be very careful of those who claim to know God’s word but don’t know His Heart of Love for all His Children what ever age we are or regardless of where we were Born.
All those Children who died in the Tornado will only know Joy eternally the same as my Babies and they will have no memory of the pain they suffered on earth but like you T my heart aches for their Parents and so does Gods, He longs to comfort them and reassure them that He understands and cares, as we see in the Scripture below , God bless you T for sharing from your heart.
Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”
Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Christian Love from both of us – Anne.

So true, the mind boggles when these things happens, it’s times like this when I read my bible more. Especially psalms 94 v18. When I said , My foot slippeth ; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up .
