Light Up the Dark

This morning I woke up before dawn  feeling a bit anxious and overwhelmed with the day ahead of me.  As I was laying in bed trying to decide if I should go back to sleep or get on with the day I noticed a bright light shining through my bedroom curtains.   The light was so bright it looked as if someone were shining a spot light in my back yard. Upon further investigation I found that the light was the full moon shining brightly in the sky.

From the darkness of my bedroom I noticed how brilliantly its light was shining through the night sky causing the darkness to look like day.  Mesmerized by its beauty I sat down on the edge of my bed and I watched as the moon slowly and silently began to slip down the night sky causing me to forget my anxiousness as peace washed over me.

As the moon dropped down below the horizon the sky began to darken and I felt some of the anxiousness begin to slip back in but just then my attention was drawn to the other side of the room to a faint light showing though the curtains.

I opened the curtains and my eyes looked into the sky where I saw a faint orange glow just below the tree line.

Slowly the sky began to brighten with beautiful pinks, blues and purples as the sun started to slip up the sky peaking over the horizon.

Within a matter of minutes the sun rose up into the sky its brilliant light shining as it chased away the darkness.

As I watched this wonderful gift God blessed me to see today I realize in the dark there is always light.

In the darkness of night the stars and the moon will always shine and as the day time approaches the sun will always rise.

God is so ever faithful and will always be here not just in the moonsets and sunrises but He is also ever present in my heart He is the beginning and the end, the forever eternal light that always shines chasing away my anxiousness as He chases away the dark.

You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.  Psalm 18:28

Amen Terri! This takes my mind to a post I had written entitled Lost Horizon: ” Jesus is saying through the Holy Spirit that, “There’s a lost horizon waiting to be found”. Christ himself is the lost horizon waiting to be found. “But for you who obey me, my saving power

power will rise on you like the sun and bring healing like the sun’s rays” Malachi 4:2 (Good News Translation)

Hi T so very True what you shared, while ever day is called a day on this earth and night a night, it will continue to be as you said but this earth as we know it will be burnt up and we will have a new heaven and earth and the world as we know it will be no more, we will not even remember it as it was but you are so right, The Lord will be our Light eternally and we will shine like stars in the night.

When I was reading your message T, I was reminded that God tells us that no one will have an excuse for claiming He is not real because we can see in His creation He is, one Truth is that no one has or will ever be able to create viable Life.

I enjoyed your Pics,T and once again thank you for sharing from your heart and for being real, I Love you dear Blogging friend, and in Christ Jesus I will always, may you be greatly blessed and those you Love.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne
