The month of September is Blog Month at Compassion Bloggers and between Sept 1 and Sept 30 we have committed to the goal to help 3,108 children find sponsors via the internet through Compassion International.
Compassion International is a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.
This past week while on vacation I had the blessing of getting to tour the Compassion facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During the tour I was able to learn more about Compassion and their effort to release children from poverty in Jesus name. I was truly amazed because they were everything I already knew they were and so much more.
What makes Compassion distinct is they are Christ Centered, Child Focused, Church Based and Committed to Integrity. This past year 163,527 children and their moms invited Jesus to be their savior. Compassion has 5,659 international church partners and currently there are over 1,172,170 sponsored children.

Those two children have deeply blessed me in ways I never could have imagined and they have taught me so much about what is truly important in life and what real blessings are.
