Sometimes I feel so undeserving but yet you still give me the gift of your love. Why do you do that? I am not a perfect person, shouldn’t perfect love be reserved for perfect people?  How can it be that I am worth so much to you?  I don’t always think of you as much I should. Sometimes I go about my daily life in a rush putting you off saying I will get to you as soon as I have time. I don’t ever remember a time that you put me last.   Every time I call to you, there you are waiting for me, forever faithful never changing even though I sometimes am not.  How can it be that I am worth so much to you.  Am I good enough?  

How do I know?

I know ….

Because You sent me Jesus…

John 3:16 –  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 4:9-12 – This is how God showed his love among us.  He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  This is love, not that we loved God but that he loves us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Because nothing can separate me from Your love…

Romans 8:37-38

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Because You live in me…

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Because You love me…

Ephesians 2:4-5 – But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,  made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Proverbs 8:17 – I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

1 John 3:1  See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
