About Me

A while back I decided to move my blog away from WordPress.com to a self-hosted blog called A Journey to a Masterpiece.  To skip all of the details except to say technology isn’t my strong point I decided to move combine the content from that blog to my original blog here at WordPress.com so that I could just blog again and leave the techy stuff to the wonderful happiness engineers they have over here 😀

This was the about me page from that A Journey to a masterpiece.

I don’t have a whole lot to say about me other than I am just a normal lady who lives a normal life. I am a wife, mother and grandmother.   I love sunrises, sunsets and flowers.  My favorite place to spend time is at the ocean even though I live right smack in the middle of Missouri, USA which is just about the farthest place away from the ocean as possible. I am a pretty quiet person and a bit shy until you get to know me then I have been told I chatter just a tiny bit too much.

The story behind this blog is I spent 47 years of my life always feeling as if I was searching for something but was never quite able to figure out what I was searching for.

In January of 2010, my life changed when I realized that the God I had spent years denying existed, really did exist.  That was the year I found Jesus….or actually, I guess I should say Jesus found me.

I had been lost all of those years even though I did not ever really realize that I was lost.

Jesus rescued me even though I did not want to admit I was in need of rescuing and from the moment he rescued me my life became a whirlwind of change.

Looking back over the past 5 years I can see how much God has changed me and my life is so much better! For the first time ever I am no longer searching because I have finally found what was missing.

Though I know my life is far from perfect, the changes have been so amazing, the darkness I always felt like I carried inside is now gone and has been replaced with beautiful light.

I realize now it’s not what we have or how we look that make us beautiful, its who we have inside our hearts.  Jesus can take the most messed up broken people and put all of the pieces back together, making us beautiful.

Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

He can create a masterpiece in all of us.

If you are here reading this you too are God’s Masterpiece and I thank you for coming by. I hope something here on this blog will help to inspire you on your own journey to becoming the beautiful  Masterpiece God created you to be.

Hi T,we will be leaving for our Holiday’s soon and I need to pack which takes me a little longer then most, so I will have to limit my Blogging, I will be doing a Post to let everyone know but just wanted to tell you personally. I will be taking a lap top but it is a bit primitive but I hope to be able to do those Power points that I have promised. I have not been well it is part of my disability so was not really keeping up with all the commenting but hope to do more when I have had a rest.

We will back at the end of May, take care my friend, still hope to keep in touch even if limited.

saw you’d left a comment on a recent blog post where they were talking about lots of stuff that was over your head, then you shared how you’d observed a Christian you knew who recently passed away and the peace they exhibited …thought I should come and see who this person is 🙂 DM

Thank you for stopping by DM, I think maybe I got in over my head there a bit, but still felt led to put in my 2 cents for what it was worth. I am not usually one to do that sort of thing, lol. Have a great evening! 🙂

We are never really apart when someone is in our heart and you are in mine forever T, from the start I felt your Honesty, your Love, your warmth, your realness and I was deeply touched. All my friends are unique, my new ones and my old ones and each one has brought to our friendship their own special uniqueness as I have also, perhaps it is why I don’t have best friends, just close friends, except for Jesus who is and always will be my Best Friend and He brings to me other friends and unites our hearts with His Love.

I’m not passing through T, you will be in my heart for Eternity.

Love you dear friend in The Lord, or as I mostly say, Christian Love – Anne.

First, thanks for coming by my blog. Yep, I’m fairly new also, but have been involved in web-based ministry for years. I don’t believe in coincidence and I have asked the Lord to also bring by those He would like me to check out and follow, so, the Holy Spirit still works on our prayers and Godly desires, even today!
I will be adding your site to my links page, and I will be visiting more as time and the Lord permits. I am on disability and have strong days and weak days in body, but I try to read the blogs I follow though I have to admit, I have to do so in rounds now as I am following a lot. I love the variety and I love that you are writing wherever your heart (or the Spirit) leads you as that is how the Body of Christ functions!
Until later, God bless you richly in your endeavors and in your service (ministry) to Him and to all of us who He leads through your writings!!

Hi Terri—I want to thank you for stopping in over cookiecrumbstoliveby and fro wanting to follow along on my life’s little hodge podge journey. I also look forward to following along with your adventure as well—-like you I am afraid of flying but I love to travel and like you, I stare out the window, snapping pictures marveling at what I see—I’ve always felt it looks as if I’m sandwiched between God’s two hands—one above and one below with me and the plane floating in-between—pretty amazing!
Again, thank you for your visit—
    Grace and Peace Terri—Julie

Hi Julie, Thank YOU for coming by my blog and for commenting.. I love the way you describe flying as if it looks a as if you are sandwiched between God’s two hands. I have to fly again in 3 weeks that sounds so comforting and I am sure I will remember that every time I fly from now on! Thanks so much for sharing that thought 🙂 Also I really enjoyed what I have seen on your blog so far and it looks as if you have a little bit of everything on it and I am looking forward to following along as you add new posts.
